BecomeMore than your circumstances
We started from a simple belief: care-experienced young people deserve the same opportunities as everyone else. North East United exists to walk alongside every young person as they discover who they can become.
Real people. Real stories.
Born from a need for real, lasting change
We exist because the system often lets young people down at the exact moment they need the most support. North East United was founded to fill that gap — not with a programme, but with a community.
Our goal is not just to support — but to walk alongside, advocate for, and celebrate every young person we work with.North East United
Peer support & mentoring
No one should face the transition from care alone. We match young people with mentors and peer supporters who understand the journey — because they have walked it themselves.
Community across the North East
We build strong networks — between young people, families, and local organisations — so no one in our community is left without someone to turn to.
Advocacy & awareness
We amplify the voices of care-experienced people, advocating for better outcomes in housing, employment, and wellbeing at every level of the conversation.
Safe, inclusive spaces
We create environments where young people can explore who they are without fear or judgement — celebrating every story, background, and identity.
What guides everything we do
Every decision, action, and relationship is grounded in these four commitments.
Inclusion
Everyone is welcomed, respected, and heard regardless of background, identity, or experience.
Integrity
We are honest, transparent, and accountable in everything we do — no exceptions.
Empowerment
We support young people to grow in confidence, capability, and independence over time.
Collaboration
We work with — never for — individuals, families, and partner organisations.
